This past week, I was awakened by an incoming intelligence brief regarding a new recruit assignment. Agent 0 had entered the world at zero dark thirty. I was informed that she and Command were healthy but sleep-deprived and was told to stand by for further communication regarding briefing windows.

It was a bit overwhelming to know that she was finally here. The anticipation had been building for months, and the Grands were elated. We were finally grandparents!

We were now handlers of a new addition to the family and couldn't wait for our briefing window to be announced.

Briefing window approval finally came through, and we confirmed our attendance for the scheduled time slot. We were provided the undisclosed location along with the necessary security measures for the rendezvous.

We readied ourselves and made the hour-long drive to the undisclosed location, where we found Command tired but happy and Agent 0 ready for new assignments with the Grands.

I was given the opportunity to hold Agent 0, and saying she is perfect doesn't begin to cover it. We debriefed about future schedules and adventures. Once her physician review was complete, she was given the green light to relocate, where she will settle in for the next few months until field training can begin.

For now, Agent 0 will remain with Command until she is cleared for field operations with the Grands.

In the meantime, I'll continue training, integrating circuit training and hand-to-hand combat exercises in preparation for Agent 0's future field-readiness program. I've also started preparing the grounds for future obstacle-course equipment.

The Grands couldn't be happier.

We cannot wait to introduce Agent 0 to her faithful K-9 companion, Athena, and to all kinds of adventures on the horizon.
